A new position and two appointments in the Institute

I am happy to announce a new position at the Center of the Institute and the appointment of two additional members to the International Council for Lasallian Association and the Educational Mission (CIAMEL).

In response to an initiative of the Secretariat for Solidarity and Development and the expressed desire for international Lasallian volunteer experiences, the position of International Volunteer Coordinator has been created.  I am pleased to announce that Ms. Eleonora Munaretto is the Coordinator.  Ms. Munaretto graduated from Collegio San Giuseppe – Istituto De Merode, a Lasallian school in Rome.  Eleonora has taught in the after-school program since 2015.  As a Young Lasallian, Eleonora

represents Italy on the RELEM Young Lasallians Council; she also represents RELEM on the International Council of Young Lasallians.  She has international experience as a volunteer and has coordinated student immersion experiences abroad.

At the recommendation of the International Council for Lasallian Association and the Educational Mission, I am also pleased to announce Ms. Antuaneth Jessica Ortega García of  Perú and Ms. Fritzie Ian De Vera of the Philippines as the Council’s newest members.  Ms. Ortega is the Executive Secretary for the Lasallian Mission of the District of Bolivia-Perú. She was a member of the planning committee for the Women’s Symposium of the Lasallian Region of Latin America (RELAL). Mrs. Fritzie De Vera is currently the Vice President for Lasallian Mission in the Philippines and a member of the Philippine Partners’ Council. She was a delegate to the 2013 International Mission Assembly.
