Nos complace informaros de que, tras varios intentos, el proyecto Erasmus+ KA229 (asociaciones escolares internacionales de la Unión Europea) en el que participa nuestro colegio como coordinador, junto con otros cinco colegios de Turquía, Italia, Eslovaquia, Serbia y Polonia, ha sido seleccionado oficialmente en la Convocatoria de Propuestas del Programa Erasmus+ 2020.

El título del proyecto es ‘Climate and Threats on Cultural Heritage’ (Clima y Amenazas del Patrimonio Cultural) que se desarrollará entre 2020 y 2022, si las circunstancias sanitarias lo permiten.

Entre otros, el objetivo es concienciar a nuestros jóvenes de que nuestra huella ecológica no solo afecta al futuro, sino también, muy directamente, al valioso patrimonio cultural y artístico de nuestros países.

Esta beca Erasmus contempla cinco movilidades internacionales de profesorado y alumnado de ESO,  para llevar a cabo las actividades planeadas en el calendario del proyecto, trabajando en equipos compuestos por alumnos de distintos países para favorecer la interacción de forma presencial y online, por medio de las TIC,  y usando el inglés como lengua vehicular.

On Wednesday November 4th we will be launching the new District Newsletter.

This initiative is one of the key communications developments for the this year and it is aimed at improving channels of communication and helping enhance the sense of community within the District while also helping to strengthen and share our core values.

Over the last five weeks we have shared updates on the International Lasallian Days for Peace to keep you up to date with events throughout the District, and further afield.

We have also included ‘other news of interest’ to reflect what is happening in the Communities, Schools and Pastoral Centres, and these events will now form the basis of the District Newsletter.

The Newsletter will be distributed on the first Wednesday of each month via email and I am appealing to everyone with any relevant information to send it on for inclusion. It is encouraging to see that this has already started.

I am looking for any photographs and information on activities taking place in schools and pastoral centres, along with events within the Communities. All details can be forwarded to eunanwhyte@lasalleigbm.org.

Progress is also being made on another of the key communications initiatives, the new District website, which is currently under construction and will be up and running in the near future.

La temàtica de la robòtica de 3r d’ESO està centrada en l’exploració espacial. Per tant, el primer projecte consisteix a simular l’enlairament d’un coet. Però aquest projecte té dues parts clarament diferenciades.

La primera part és més lúdica, on l’alumnat ha de construir un coet que es farà volar. Aquesta part pràctica també inclou les explicacions de la física que acompanya l’enlairament.

La segona part la començarem a treballar a l’aula STEAM i simularà la sala de control de la NASA. Els alumnes hauran de programar una placa Arduino per realitzar un comptador enrere.

Vorige zaterdag vond in de Koninklijke Militaire School te Brussel de uitgestelde finale van de STEM-Olympiade plaats. Aansluitend vond die dag ook de prijsuitreiking plaats.

Twee leerlingen van onze school, Brent Tirry (nu in 2Ad) behaalde de gouden medaille in zijn groep van eerstejaars. Axl Vautmans, die nu in 3IW zit, kaapte de zilveren medaille weg bij de tweedejaars.

Zij ontvingen hun prijs en gelukwensen van niemand minder dan Ben Weyts, Minister van Onderwijs.
